Advertising can be extremely expensive. Magazine spots in an industry specific magazine are often a few thousand bucks. Video and Photography also have similar costs and a limited shelf life. Once the photo or video has been on one social media platform it gets downgraded pretty much everywhere else (thanks Zuckerburg). Murals don't have this problem. The shelf life on them is fantastic and they can be used as a back drop for your daily content. Or you can just sit back and watch as it gains notoriety in your neighborhood. Why paint a mural?

The short answer? Our murals are long lasting, eco friendly, and offer an incredible return on your investment.

Our murals are long lasting and friendly to the environment. We intentionally source the lowest VOC paints and recycle or upcycle all paint when your project is finished. Murals have a much longer "shelf life" then other forms of advertising, especially when compared to other forms of large format media (billboards). What do you think happens to all the old billboard material? Yeah... not so great for Captain Planet.
Our custom murals are made to last. Depending on the colors or direction the mural faces (south or south eastern facing gets the worst of the sun) we may recommend doing a clear coat as part of your mural. We include a one year touch up warranty with our murals. To clean them, spray them with water. Spray them. Do not pressure wash.
Unlike the bulk of advertising out there these days, murals are not pay per click or pay per month. Leasing a billboard that costs you $15,000 a year is asinine. People often are driving 80mph and looking at their phones. They will hardly notice your billboard. Spending the same amount on a mural for your business. Oh boy. I don't think there's a better investment you can make. Plus, your mural will outlast the billboard by a factor of 10 and it is better for the environment.
Our custom murals can be painted on any surface paint can stick to. This includes cinderblock, brick, stucco, dry wall, painted metal and much much more. We are experts with both spray paint and brushes allowing us to paint artwork on even the most unforgiving surfaces (looking at you stucco). Hand Painted murals (and anything painted really) will last the longest time on surfaces that are clean, dust-free, and free of water run off or water damage.
What Shane does is not easy, but he makes it look effortless. Our murals cannot be executed by just anyone. Our master artist (pronoucned aar-teest) has 30 years of experience and its really obvious if you watch him work. With Shane B on the team, your project will be a success.

First

Schedule a call with Andrew! He will talk through what services might be appropriate for you. Most of our work falls under the guise of signs & murals.

Next

Andrew will analyze your location's traffic. From here he will prioritize and collaborate with you on which locations will be the most impactful to paint a sign or mural.

Then

Once we've got our priorities straight, we'll get down to the business of designing you an appropriate, head turning mural or sign.

Paint Time!

The crew will arrive on site to make the magic happen. This can take anywhere between one to several days depending on the complexity and size of the artwork.

Pricing

We base our pricing on the time and materials required to do the job right and do the job safely. Complexity of the design, wall access, surface condition, and colors all influence the cost of a mural. Our typical projects average in the $5,000-$10,000 range. However, that's not to say we don't do projects less than this, they're just not as common. We strive to work within any budget.

A multitude of factors affect our prices. The biggest factors are size, visual complexity, and wall access. Our project minimum is $1200.

We proudly work coast to coast. Around 2/3 of our jobs are "out of town" where we fly in to execute our project.

We have a few brands of paint we love using: Nova Color Paint, Benjamin Moore Aura, and Loop Spray Paint. We've found these to be the best, most reliable paints currently on the market.

Every project is different, but on average most of our projects last about a month from start to finish. We have found that the more decision makers involved in the design process, the longer everything takes. Painting generally takes between 3 - 15 days depending on the size of the project.

We don't do lettering under 1.5" tall. We can paint anything at any size above that. Our largest mural to date is 100'w x 25'tall and is located in Hunstville, AL at Back Forty Huntsvile.

Yes, our signs are extremely weather resistant. We use ASTM I paint to ensure the light-fastness of our artwork. Additionally, a painted sign will ONLY fall off your wall if the wall itself falls down. This is an enormous liability release and maintentance saver. There's nothing more unprofessional than a sign missing a few letters or slightly "ajar". Plus, signs have been known to be ripped off of buildings during wind storms.

Yes, we typically run with a 50% down and a 50% due upon completion production schedule.
